PT MACI Cleanroom Innovation at Surabaya Hospital Expo 2026

Present at Surabaya Hospital Expo 2026, PT MACI offered integrated cleanroom package solutions and international-standard modern operating theatre installations for hospitals.

Surabaya, May 21, 2026 – Healthcare facilities in Indonesia continue to move toward an era of modernization that demands world-class standards. Responding to this crucial need, Surabaya Hospital Expo 2026 returned as an epicenter where today’s latest medical innovations come together.

Held at the Exhibition Hall, Grand City Convex, Surabaya, from May 19–21, 2026, the event was attended by dozens of international-scale medical equipment companies and distributors operating in Indonesia.

As a company with a vision to deliver modern cleanroom technology, PT Mega Andalan Cleanroom Industri (PT MACI) also took part in one of the most prestigious medical equipment exhibitions in Indonesia.

PT MACI was present alongside PT Mega Andalan Kalasan (MAK) and PT Polaris Alkes Starindo at Booth 13–17. The PT MAK booth stood out impressively, showcasing its well-established golden reputation as one of the largest medical device manufacturers in Indonesia.

PT MACI’s MOT Mockup Innovation at Surabaya Hospital Expo 2026

As a company whose primary focus is the production and development of modern cleanrooms, PT MACI took a strategic and elegant approach at this exhibition. Instead of bringing separate component pieces, PT MACI specifically showcased a precise mockup of its Modular Operating Theatre (MOT).

The decision to present this scaled mockup was not without reason. Through this three-dimensional visualization, exhibition visitors—dominated by hospital board members and management, medical specialists, and policymakers—could directly observe the layout, system integration, and grandeur of a modern operating theatre installation to be produced by PT MACI.

Throughout the exhibition, the MOT mockup served as the perfect medium to educate visitors that PT MACI designs and implements healthcare facilities as a complete and integrated “cleanroom package.”

As a result, hospitals no longer need to be concerned with wall installation, flooring, or HVAC systems separately. Everything is designed as one precise, unified ecosystem. This ensures an absolute level of sterility while also reflecting a high-value design aesthetic.

East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa’s Support for Cleanroom Facilities in Modern Hospitals

The presence of PT MACI’s international-standard healthcare infrastructure innovation at the PT MAK booth became one of the main attractions of the exhibition. This was evident from the enthusiasm of East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, who attended to officially open the event and directly observe the exhibition on Tuesday (19/05)

Gubernur Jawa Timur, Khofifah Indar Parawansa dan Direktur Operasional PT MACI, Ir. David Gunawan Piter, MBA.

Accompanied by East Java Provincial Secretary Adhy Karyono, Director of Dr. Soetomo Regional General Hospital Prof. Dr. dr. Cita Rosita Sigit Prakoeswa, and Chairman of PERSI East Java, dr. Bangun T. Purwaka, Sp.OG., Subsp.K.Fm., M.Kes., the Governor’s entourage walked through the exhibition halls to observe the technological advancements offered by Indonesia’s healthcare industry today.

During the visit, Governor Khofifah specifically took the time to stop by the PT MAK booth. A warm yet professional atmosphere was felt as the Governor was personally welcomed by PT MACI’s Director of Operations, Ir. David Gunawan Piter, MBA.

Diskusi singkat Khofifah dan David Gunawan

David Gunawan briefly explained how PT MACI’s integrated cleanroom infrastructure can serve as an ideal solution for modern hospitals.

Seeing the strong dedication demonstrated by the industry, Governor Khofifah expressed her admiration and offered strong encouragement for the healthcare ecosystem in her region. She emphasized the importance of adopting the latest technologies, especially as East Java plays a highly strategic role in strengthening the national healthcare service system, with a total of 448 hospitals.

“Medical technology in East Java must be highly adaptive to various medical technologies around the world, including the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI),” Khofifah stated during her visit, as quoted from the official website of RSUD Dr. Soetomo.

Furthermore, she also highlighted that the presence of advanced AI-powered surgical equipment certainly requires equally advanced room infrastructure support.

Khofifah further explained that, in the context of healthcare system transformation, modern hospitals are expected to no longer focus solely on curative services. Hospitals are also required to comprehensively strengthen promotive, preventive, and rehabilitative services.

Regulatory changes, financing systems, and public expectations for fast, fair, and high-quality services have become challenges that must be answered with facility readiness.

“The increasing number of hospitals should also go hand in hand with the development of medical technology. After all, patient safety must remain the highest priority,” Khofifah emphasized.

Regarding the procurement of medical equipment and infrastructure by hospitals, Khofifah also conveyed a strategic message about the importance of maximizing the Domestic Component Level (TKDN).

“TKDN must continue to be pursued so that its percentage keeps increasing over time. Although certain components still need to be imported at present, support for domestic industry must remain strong,” she said.

This vision strongly resonates with the presence of PT MACI and PT MAK, which have consistently proven that domestic industries are capable of producing premium-quality modern hospital infrastructure that can compete with foreign products. This is because nearly all products are specifically manufactured at their own domestic medical device factory located in Yogyakarta.

Through exhibitions such as Surabaya Hospital Expo, Khofifah expressed optimism that extraordinary synergy would be formed. “Our healthcare services must continue to improve in quality and become increasingly competitive. Each hospital can compete with one another in goodness, or fastabiqul khairat, by presenting comparative advantages,” the Governor concluded.

Similar support was also expressed by the Chairman of PERSI East Java, dr. Bangun T. Purwaka. Citing the official website of RSUD Dr. Soetomo, he stated that this exhibition serves as a crucial window for healthcare facility management to directly observe the leap in advanced technology now available in Indonesia.
